Jill Mortimer Music Teacher
I have been playing piano since I was seven. I then went on to play baritone followed by Euphonium at secondary school. Music and performance has been a big part of my life, picking up other instruments, playing in bands and so on. This, combined with twenty three years teaching in a primary school, has lead to a devotion for teaching music though fun and exciting lessons. I want my students to be independent, confident learners, who share the same passion for music. They will have the confidence to not only read the notes, but to improvise, compose and have a deep appreciation and understanding of music.
About Me

I have lead a number of music groups such as choirs, recorder and wind ensembles. My main aim is to build on pupils confidence in note reading, music theory, improvisation and performance through fun and engaging lessons.
